Explain how waters cohesive and adhesive properties allow it to have capillary action?

Easy 10 points!!!!!!!Explain how waters cohesive and adhesive properties allow it to have capillary action?
Cohesive are the forces among the molecules of a same substance.

Adhesive are the forces between the molecules of two different substances.

Cohesive force keep the molecules of the water well intended and stiched with each other that is why there is surface tension at the upper surface of water.

Capillary action occurs due to the both cohesive and adhesive (among water and glass tube molecules) forces.
