I've seen the mod for rock band to quiet the drums a bit by taping mouse pads to them. what kind of tape / adhesive would be best to use that will hold the mouse pads on. I'd like something that i can remove later, and wont leave residue all over the place! ThanksRock Band - best adhesive to tape mouse pads on?
There's something called ';gaffer's tape'; which is rather expensive (about $50.00/roll) used by studios and theatres to tape down wiring (the guy the call the gaffer). It leaves very little residue.
Barring that little expense, perhaps first aid adhesive might leave the least residue? I never tried it for extended periods of time.

For ours I cut circles out of old sweatshirts and taped it to the sides with duct tape. The ';pads'; are colored appropriately. One green, red, yellow and blue.
Good luck.
And a little bit of rubbing alcohol should take the residue off.
