how can I remove the adesive used to glue on most food contaner lables, jam pots for example. Have tried Methylated spirits, Turpintine, Petrol etcRemoving adhesive?
Acetone is the solvent for most glues. Lacquer thinner may work also.Removing adhesive?
any oil base product, baby oil, vegetable oil, body oil even automobile oil, saturate the glue and rub off sometimes it takes two applications.
theres a thing called goo gone you can buy at any local home depot ot lowes it is the best takes off any glue tape what ever its gone with that
you can take a blow dryer and it will heat up the glue to remove and paste it any place else, trust me it works ,
try goof off or oops will ork great
Actually, it's called ';Goo Gone.';
The bath oil SSS(Skin-So-Soft) by Avon is always a good bet! Let the SSS stay on the item overnight then wash it off with hot water and soap. Works all the time for me!
Baby Oil works for the sticky stuff on bumper stickers, don't know if it will work for that but it's worth a try.
WD40 will break down the glue.
W.D.40
If it doesn't soak off in water, then use liquid sandpaper.
By washing affected area in kerosene
I use something called ';goo gone'; its a green liquid, and whipes away all the sticky and gooey adhesives. Target carries it. And it doesn't make your containers or any other material sticky, or greasy. It's so perfect, you'd think there is a catch! It's great stuff. Just remember its literally called ';Goo-Gone.';
Have you tried soaking in hot water? The container that is, not you!
WD-40 does work
Sometimes the oil in peanut butter will help to break down the sticky stuff. Wal-Mart used to carry something called De Solv It. It was in the cleaner aisle near the dishwasher detergent or floor cleaner. It worked great!!
warm water, soap, and a scrubby pad works wonders.
';goof off'; sold at wal-mart and i think home depot
If you have a hardware store near you buy some

Electrolube LRM Label Remover
