Removing Excess Orange Adhesive After Surgery?

I recently had surgery and am not asking about removing the adhesive that is keeping an incision closed.. I would like to know how to remove the excess adhesive that was used to secure a breathing tube.

This adhesive is orange in color.

The hospital gave me a few packets of adhesive remover; however it does not work.

Serious answers, household remedies or old wives's tales are appreciated.Removing Excess Orange Adhesive After Surgery?
my 18 month old son has had many surgeries including open heart, stomach, g-tube placement and heart caths and i have tried many times to get the extra adhesive off but i agree the remover they give does not work. i have tried everything i could think of but nothing has worked full force. i used alcohol a couple times and it helps a little so i would try that. like i said it doesnt work completely but it works better then the remover they give at the hospitals and if you find something that works better please let me know cause we have a lot more surgeries to come and it would be greatly appreciated.
