Dessolve adhesive residues on my car's dashboard??

I used an instant adhesive to stick my navigator on the dashboard, then by time it was removed leaving residues of plastic pieces and adhesive liquid on the dashboard. Do you know any chemical dissolver that would work for that? I live in California though. Please help.Dessolve adhesive residues on my car's dashboard??
You could try putting peanut butter on it{seriously}and letting it sit for a few hours,the oils and stuff tend to break down adhesives,also,look for a product called ';goo gone';it works very well,don't know if you can get it in CA.though.Dessolve adhesive residues on my car's dashboard??
nail polish remover...........don't use to much!
