use a blow dryer, remove any leftover glue with alcohol, then buff it with wax.Is there a simple way, or product, to remove an adhesive emblem from an automobile fender ?
a blow dryer, to make the glue warm (easy removal) then use a little timy bit of laquer thinner on rag to remove any extra glueIs there a simple way, or product, to remove an adhesive emblem from an automobile fender ?
goo gone
Yes. I use this stuff called ';Goo Gone';. It works wonders; miracles even. You can get it at a hardware store like Ace or something.
alchohol
Soak it with WD-40, it works great, and I recommend it highly for this purpose.
Goof off, lemon oil, sticker off, they are all the same and work very well
Go to a diy shop and get an item called a heat gun.
All emblems are glued on and this heat gun will liquify the glue and not damage the paintwork/ body work. It will peel off very easily.
Dont think a blowdryer will work, but its worth a try.
Heat? Try a blowdryer.
heat gun to heat the emblem up and then peel it off and clean residue that is left with WD-40.
You can try pulling the emblem off very carefully, and if there's any adhesive or part of the emblem left when you get done, non-acetone nail polish remover works very well and shouldn't damage the paint.
go to paint store or wal mart pick up mineral spirits works great.
I just recently went down this road with an older vehicle (1994) and I think this is the key to your question. How long has the emblem been on the fender? I used a product called ';Goo Gone'; and after some patient application the factory emblem came off. But it had been on for so long that even after it was removed it left a ';ghost'; image behind. There are probably other products on the market similar to the one I used but I can say that it performed well with minimal labor.
