I agree with the Vegetable oil, depending on what kind of surface its stuck too- plastic, glass and the like.

If it is pleather or vinyl (as in binder covers or some backpacks) then go with Pine Sol.

Test a small area with a Q-Tip first. I'm a teacher and this works every time!Sticker once stuck and then removed leaves a layer of adhesive difficult to remove. How to remove the layer?
before pulling out the tape rub a piece of ice over the sticker and then pull the sticker out no adhesive will be left behind - if lightning has already struck try using solvent dabbed on cloth
Goo Gone first, then scraping it with a razor blade.
use a nail polish remover..works for me for super glue stickiness..will work even better for sticker's type of stickiness..
If it can cope with the chemicals, try a dab of acetone.

nail varnish remover, but check in any area that can't b seen first.
Any kind of vegetable oil lightly rubbed on it should remove the sticker.
vinegar or goo gone
DON'T USE NAIL VARNISH REMOVER UNLESS YOUR SURE! It's really good at good at stripping plastic!

Paraffin on a paper towel (as used in oil lamps) or vodka works well, as usually will warm water and they should all cause no damage.
Alcohol or fingernail polish remover
common old nail polish remover
