Will spray adhesive come off of my wood wall?

jw because i am not allowed to paint my walls -wood with no paint- and if i spray something on it, my dad will make me take it off later. Will spray adhesive come off of my wood wall?
ouch.

sanding may well be the only solution,,, if the walls are old and have any type of finish it may well be difficult to match the finish after sanding.

If the wood has a finish of varnish, lacquer, shellac or poly,,, you may be able to use WD-40 to remove the adhesive without marring the finish and leaving it looking splotchy. Will spray adhesive come off of my wood wall?
I'd try the WD-40 as mentioned, start with a corner low down and experiment in a small spot. You get the wrong spray glue you're toast, cause it won't come off!
It will with a bit of sanding.
